Where to Watch the FIFA World Cup 2026™ in NoMad NYC
For the first time in over thirty years, the FIFA World Cup™ returns to New York this summer, and The Final falls on July 19th just across the river at the New York New Jersey Stadium (aka MetLife). At BLACKBARN, we built a $49 Matchday Menu for the run, a Pitch-Side Pail with six bottles on ice, six TVs in our Tavern tuned into the tournament, and seven private rooms for when your group wants the place to itself.
Come watch with us.
The elevated alternative to the sports bar
NoMad has plenty of places to catch a match this summer, and most of them are sports bars. BLACKBARN is something a little different. Chef-owned, farm-driven, with the volume tuned for the room and the screens in sightline.
Chef Owner John Doherty spent twenty-five years as Executive Chef of the Waldorf Astoria before opening BLACKBARN, and the standard of hospitality he built here runs through all of our spaces, every day of the year. This summer, that hospitality just happens to come with TVs tuned into the tournament and Matchday Specials built for the crowd that turns a match into a long table.
Bring the friend who came for the soccer and the partner who came for dinner and they’ll both leave happy.

Three ways to plan a visit:
Walk in to the Tavern
The bar is first-come, first-served. Six TVs visible from anywhere in the Tavern, the full menu, and the Matchday Menu running from June 11th - July 19th. Arrive thirty minutes before kickoff for evening and weekend matches for the best chance of walking right to a seat.
Reserve a Tavern table
Book a table with a TV in sightline for the sure thing.
Book a private room for The Final (or any match!)
For groups of more than twelve, we have seven private dining rooms, each bookable with projectors or TV(s), a dedicated server, and the option of a private bar. Office viewings, birthdays, and watch parties for The Final on July 19 all fit. These dates fill fast, so reach out now!
Which matches are WE showing?
Our Tavern service hours line up with most of the tournament, but not all of it. Weekday afternoon, evening, and weekend fixtures are in. Kickoffs that fall before lunch service and late-night Knockout matches that run past midnight are not. We’ll post a running list of broadcast matches updated weekly so you can plan around it.
We are extending our Tavern hours through lunch and dinner service as well as later some evenings so every minute of extra time and every penalty kick lands on the screen.
Please note that the FIFA World Cup 2026™ matches will only be playing in our Tavern (bar) area. You will not be able to see the TVs from our Main Dining Room, so please reserve your table accordingly!
A note for the locals
Most of the crowd watching these matches in NoMad this summer will be the people who live and work here. Expats home from the office, soccer parents off the clock, friends meeting up after work. The Tavern is built for just that. Madison Square Park is two blocks away and the Flatiron is one. Walk over after!
Save your seat
Our Matchday Menu specials and adjusted Tavern hours run June 11th - July 19th.
